ESKIBOY RECORDINGS TALENT SEARCH

As announced last night on my show, Wiley is looking for brand new acts to help progress within the Grime scene by bringing them into the studio to work with some of the top names in the business.

Last night Wiley threw open an appeal to young acts to send in their demos in order to win he opportunity to work with Wiley and Roll Deep along with other big names to produce tracks.

If you fall into one of the following categories and are aged between 15 and 21 then you can enter this exciting competition:

1) Male Solo MC
2) Male MC Duo
3) Female Solo MC
4) Female MC Duo
5) Male Solo Vocalist
6) Male Vocal Group
7) Female Solo Vocalist
8) Female Vocal Group

You must be an unsigned act with no existing Management, agency or recording contracts and be willing to work in conjunction with Wiley and Roll Deep Recordings in order to produce a number of exclusive tracks with their in house producers along with other big name professionals within the Grime scene.

This competition will run for 6 weeks from the 13th of February and the winners will be announced by Wiley live on the show on April the 3rd.

This is an exciting opportunity for any young talented individuals who are looking to progress in the Grime scene and are finding it hard to make links and get themselves heard. If you have the talent and the hard working nature needed to succeed then don't delay in sending your demos clearly marked to this address;

Roll Deep present “Grimey”, a road-map that starts off with the infamous and instrumental So Solid, stops at every landmark and place of interest before arriving at the spaghetti junction of today’s scene.

Compiled by the 14 man crew and mixed down by DJ’s, Maximum and Karnage, Roll Deep pay homage to those that laid the foundations to the scene labelled “Grime”, back when it’s only outlets were Sun City, Garage Nation and pirate radio stations. So Solid Crew, Mercury Award Winner, Miss Dynamite and Social Circles’ premier producer on the garage boards, Sticky, all get the nod from the Wu Tang of the Grime scene.

Grimey is the CD equivalent to a testimonial football match. Why is Anthony Walker's death at the back of people's minds!!! It was at the back of mine until Thursday night when we performed at an Anthony Walker tribute event. I met his family including his Mother who had me in tears. They haven't forgotten i doubt they ever will, how can they!

I'm a big man and i'm cold hearted sometimes but his Mother moved me to tears, i held her so tight to me i could feel her pain. She looked me in the eye and said we was his favorite band and she could see why, then she broke down on me!! To see his family not been able to live there lives is heart shattering and the people who did this will go to hell!!

I have a white girlfriend so come and try it with me and see what you get you racists w@*kers, He was 14 years old!
